Amazon Appstore Says Goodbye to Android

In a development that marks a significant change in its online strategy, Amazon recently revealed that it would be shutting down the Amazon Appstore for Android smartphones from August 20, 2025. The closure also encompasses the termination of the Amazon Coins program, which has existed within Amazon's platform for well over a decade. While the Appstore will continue to exist on Amazon devices such as Fire Tablets and Fire TVs, Android users that had been counting on it would have to turn to other app stores.
